About the Rome Plow - Military Bulldozer:

Large, armored, modified bulldozers, Rome Plows were used in South Vietnam by the United States military during the Vietnam War. Equipped with a very sharp "stinger blade" which weighed more than two tons, the plows cut down trees in forests and jungles which were then burned. This helped to eliminate jungle vegetation and cover that could be used by the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces.
