About the M-10 Booker – US Next-Gen Assault Gun:
Unveiled in June 2023, the M-10 Booker is the United States Army’s brand new assault gun. Designed to support infantry forces by suppressing fortifications and, when necessary, destroying enemy armor, the Booker carries a massive 105mm, low-caliber M35 tank gun, as well as M2HB and M240B machine-guns. Its 800 hp diesel engine provides a top speed of 45 mph and a range of 350 miles. But despite its potent gun and powerful engine, the Booker is relatively light, combining precision firepower with speed and maneuverability.
The M-10 is named for Medal of Honor recipient Robert Booker, killed during the Tunisian Campaign in the Second World War, and Distinguished Service Cross recipient Stevon Booker, killed during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. After receiving initial production models in early 2024, the Army ordered full-rate production; the first Bookers will be delivered to combat units in late 2025. The first unit to receive Bookers will be the 82nd Airborne division, which will group the 33 M-10s into a single battalion controlled as a divisional asset.
