About the Fiat 3000 – Light Tank:
Based off the French Renault FT, the Italian Fiat 3000 had a slightly wider and shorter hull, as well as new side skirts, increased armor, and a more powerful engine than the original Renault. Accepted into service in 1921, the Fiat 3000 was armed with two Breda 6.5 mm (0.25 in) air-cooled machine-guns, with 5000 rounds stored internally. As for their use in combat, the Fiat 3000 was first used in action in February 1926 in Libya, and subsequently also saw action against the Ethiopians in the Second Italo-Abyssinian War in 1935.
