About the Combatant Craft Assault – Special Warfare Fast Boat:

The U.S. Navy’s Combatant Craft Assault (CCA) is high-performance vessel used by special operations forces. Its design emphasizes speed and agility, with a low profile and built of high-tech composites, without sacrificing the capability to handle rough waters, with folding sides to keep out sea spray and a 41-foot-long deep V hull to provide stability. Powerful engines and twin propellors enable rapid movements in deep or shallow water, and CCAs are small enough to be carried in MC-130 or C-17 aircraft and dropped into the sea.

The CCA is a workhorse for maritime special operations. Capable of insertion and extraction missions and maritime patrol, the CCA carry advanced offensive and defensive weapons and equipment. A small, foldable mast carries surface search radar, electro-optical and infrared sensors, and satellite communications gear. Various weapons may be mounted, such as anti-tank missiles, various remote weapons, M2 and M240 machine guns, and Mk19 grenade launchers. Crewed by U.S. Navy Sea Air Land (SEAL) Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen (SWCC) and deployed around the world, CCAs are versatile craft that get Spec Ops forces where they need to go.
