Short history: the Sherman M4A3E8 variant was introduced near the end of the war, with horizontal volute spring suspension and an improved high-velocity 76 mm gun previously used only by Tank Destroyers. The Sherman M4A3E8 is part of the "Hero Collection" (see custom LEGO military minifigures in minifig section). Although the Sherman M4A3E8 is no match for the Tiger in a face to face, 1 on 1 battle, the Sherman was a superior weapon to other medium tanks of opposing armies, and with a little luck (skill) could put a big hole in the rear of a Tiger Tank. Watch the movie "Kelly's Heroes" and see if you can find the Tigers vulnerable spot (I already told you). In that movie the Sherman was able to destroy How Many Tiger tanks? SPOILER ALERT - DON'T READ If you haven't see "FURY". In the movie Fury, how many US tanks were destroyed by the Tiger Tank until it was destroyed? Where was it hit? This kit truly was a labor of love, and we here at Brick Brigade have the utmost respect for our past, present, and future soldiers.
