During the Falklands War, the Argentinian forces defending the islands deployed two Commando Army Commando units which eventually operated as part of 'Centro de Operaciones tácticas' (Joint Special Operations) Most of the officers and NCOs were Commandos and Paratroopers and were a highly-trained and motivated training team. Their commander had brought the best from his conscripts in a short but tough Commando course and issued them signature Army Green Berets
