As seen at Brickfair 2009 (at least until I sold the display model), I have recently released a new Sherman Tank based on the up-gunned M4A3 model used by American Army during the later half of the European Campaign. To keep up with demand I doubled my initial production run and kits are available to ship during the first week of September. The first release from Brickmania's Micro Armor series is now available! These are 1/72 models of the versatile HMMWV "Humvee" Utility Vehicle designed by Daniel Siskind. These are initially being offered in one of three different color schemes and range in price from $20-$30. Additional Micro Armor vehicles are currently in production and will be available soon.

The second batch of ZX-11 spy cars now includes a yellow "Venom" edition with the deadly agent "Kiki" armed with a katana and Colt python. Another batch of the original red "Spyder" edition with agent "98" is also now available for sale.

An updated re-release of a classic Brickmania kit from 2003. Kit includes minifigs, decals and MG42 from BrickArms. Now available for a limited time!

Summer 2009 Brickmania custom Lego kits are now available to order. These kits follow in the spirit of the Panzer IV and Fokker Dr. 1, being produced in large batches and therefore having a lower price. Releasing several kits at once also saves me money ordering parts and saves you money on shipping. I'm further sweetening the deal by creating a "battle pack" that combines all three new WW2 models plus a bonus panzer grenadier mortar team for your SdKfz 251.

Response to the new releases has been extremely high and I am currently experiencing a backlog of orders of 1-2 weeks on the new kits. I will also be out of town from July 18 through August 2nd. Few (if any) orders will be shipped during this time. The store will remain open and I will send out kits upon my return in the order that payments were received.

I have received numerous requests for complete versions of many models recently featured in my instructions club. I do not have the resources to make full production runs of all of these models, but I have decided to make them available on a limited, short-run basis. Because I am essentially assembling these kits as ordered, the turnaround time is longer and retail prices are higher than the full production kits. All kits will come packaged in a sealed box and include a certificate of authenticity like any other Brickmania kit.

OPTIONS:
I have included several options to fit budgest and requirements. By default all kits come with instructions on CD-R but printed instructions are available for an extra cost. Minfig packs include appropriate colored figures, headgear, and personal weapons. The decal sheets I am offering are dry transfer sheets from Archer Fine Transfers and generally include enough decals for several models.

Countless people have asked me to bring by my tank kits since I stopped selling them. Unfortunately the level of detail I included in most of my old models meant a $200-300 price tag and well beyond most peoples' budgets. While contemplating my new generation of kits I have made a conscious decision to keep as historically accurate as possible, yet sacrifice some details in order to keep the price down. This brand new Panzer IV is not only be my first new custom tank model in almost six years but also the first to be priced under $100.

The Panzer IV was the workhorse of the German tank fleet in World War Two and this Ausf. G model is equipped with the deadly long-barrel 75mm high velocity gun. The tan color perfectly reflects later war standard production and would be typical of the fearsome Ausf. G models that smashed the American line at Kasserine Pass.

My kit contains 670 pieces and features revolving turret, posable main gun, stowaway antenna, three opening hatches, and a tank commander minifig. The hull-mounted machine gun is a special MG42 prototype provided by BrickArms (yes, I know the real thing has an MG34 but no such gun is currently available). While I am not including decals to keep costs down, Archer Fine Transfers offers an entire host of 1:35 dry transfers to for an additional level of detail.

I plan to create a supplementary set of instructions for a more advanced version of this model as part of my Instructions Club. The advanced instructions will include interior details, engine compartment, working suspension, and other details left out of the kit version. If there is enough demand I may even create a parts pack to help with the conversion process.

Fokker DR.1 Dreidecker

The iconic plane made famous by World War One ace Manfred von Richthofen aka The Red Baron.

I absolutely fell in love with this model and felt compelled to make it into a kit after six year's hiatus from new Brickmania releases. The model is perfectly proportioned for minifigs (scale is 1 stud = 1 foot), is surprisingly sturdy, and is just plain fun to "swoosh" around the house.

The Fokker Dr.1 Dreidecker ("tri plane") is perhaps the most famous airplane of World War One. My model comes in the bold red livery of the war's top ace Manfred von Richthofen, who scored his final 20 of 80 victories in this fighter. In his own words Richtohofen described the Dr.1: "It climbed like a monkey and maneuvered like the devil." A total of 320 Dr.1's were built during the war and it served with distinction until being replaced by the more advanced Fokker D VII (arguably THE best fighter plane of the war).

Model Details: The kit is made up of 324 new LEGO elements (including a "Baron" minifig) and a pistol from Brickarms. Full-color printed building instructions and a signed certificate of authenticity are also included in the sealed box, which is also individually numbered and signed. As with all Brickmania kits, this design will be available for a limited time only and may be discontinued without notice.

After a five year hiatus from releasing new kits and instructions, I am pleased to announce the launch of the Brickmania Instructions Club. Membership in the club will include subscription access to new sets of instructions to be released each month. It will also include complete access to the entire archive of my previously released instructions sets.

On December 1, 2008 I will release my first new set of instructions to kick off the Brickmania Instructions Club. The featured model is the StuG III mechanized assault gun featured in my model gallery. These instructions have been slated for printing in my forthcoming military modeling guide. As a bonus to members, the club version will also include exclusive instructions for a Panzer III alternate model. Both vehicles have been built entirely with parts that are easily obtainable from recent LEGO sets and should be relatively easy to find. The instructions are assembled as high-resolution .PDF files which can be viewed on your screen or printed with picture-quality results. My instructions now include parts-per-step box, with visual representations of each element, plus a master list to help you assemble all the parts you will need.

Membership to the Brickmania Instructions Club is available as an annual subscription service. A one year membership is $30 and will include at new set of building instructions to be released each month. The model subjects will be varied and I already have a long list of subjects lined up up that cover military, castle, trains and more. A feedback forum is also being launched to help help generate feedback, determine future models, and offer a place for builders to share strategies for finding parts, building tips, customizations, and other useful information.
