Gallery Description This castle was built on commission for a private collector who happens to be an officer in the US Army Corps. of Engineers. These three pictures are 99% accurate as to what the finished product looked like (some refinements in design were made just prior to shipping). The finished castle was then bolted to a wooden display stand / shipping crate, which I also built. A total of only 16 elements were glued into place on this model, which led to some major damage in transit. Having learned the hard way, I would never attempt to ship such a large model again unless all of the elemts were glued. Fortunately the buyer had some experience building with LEGO bricks and was able to repair the damaged sections.
